One thing I enjoy doing with the grandkids in the spring and summer is building bonfires late night and roasting wieners or marshmallows (or both). I was excited to get this set and start building fires. We had a visitor the other day, my cousin's granddaughter and of course two of mine were close by, so we decided on a wiener roast. We gathered the wood and the food, sat up our table and built the fire. I opened my sticks for the first time and was pleased there were 5 of them as well as 10 skewers to serve the marshmallows/smores on. There are 5 different colors as well, so everyone has their own color and their own stick. The colors are vibrant and very colorful. They telescope, much like an antenna to 34 inches long, plenty of distance from the fire for safety of those little ones. Then when closed they are merely approximately 10 inches long for storage. They have plastic easy grip handles with two forks to securely hold the food. The tongs on the fork also has plastic covers for safety when storing. They have their own little carrying case for storage or for carrying with you on a trip. I included a video of the kids using the sticks, we had lots of fun. I would recommend these for anyone with kids, makes a wiener roast much safer. Washes easily with hot soapy water. Dry thoroughly.
*Safety note* Needs to be used with adult supervision, ends are sharp and will be hot after heating food. Store away safely in your storage bag.
